NuWave Parts & Accessories Redesign

Overview.
Project scope.
NuWave did not have a way to sell their accessories or replacement parts for their products.
My project was to create an accessories page that would serve as a place for their manuals, parts, accessories, and re-orders.
My role.
I was the lead Product Designer on this project. I worked directly with the web developer, copy writer, project manager, sales team, customer service department, and marketing assistant.
Audience.
Our data showed that our demographics were people over the age of 50, and mostly male.
Tools.
Adobe Photoshop
Customer Feedback through email
The Process.
Challenges.
This was a one-week turnaround project with not a lot of direction
The team did not have a web developer that was familiar with responsive websites
No time for thorough research
Unique requirements for the customers’ demographic
Parameters.
I had to create something that could be incorporated into the current website easily, avoiding a major overhaul. Due to the quick turnaround, I used sales trends, consumer trends, consumer demographics, and customer feedback about the current live sites as my research. The feedback that I received was the reason I decided to create a rolling cart on the parts and accessories page to show a running total before tax.
Outcome.
The outcome was positive overall. Since there were no existing webpages for these items, making it easily accessible created an opportunity for these items to become the company’s consumable products..
